Cheery Littlebottom

Sergeant Cheery Littlebottom is renowned as being one of the first dwarves to say the she's a woman, as well as being the first known female dwarf in the Ankh Morpork City Watch.

Cheery grew up in Überwald and moved to Ankh Morpork to study alchemy, however her career as an alchemist was cut short when she accidentally blew up the Alchemist's Guild headquarters. After this she joined the city watch where she first "came out" as a woman with the help of her new found friend, Angua.

Within the AMCW Cheery was assigned to the forensics department, well actually she was the forensics department for quite a long time before its techniques could be demonstrated as useful to the City Watch.

If attempting to bribe Cheery one would find it rather difficult as she is not susceptible to the usual Dwarfish lust for gold in a monetary sense, but rather sees it from a forensic, or alchemical, point a view - i.e. another element that holds little more interest than a lump of tin. This, coupled with her "being a woman publicly", makes her kind of odd, and perhaps a little suspicious, to other dwarves.
